Blogging Again....

I was going to write a bunch of stuff stating what I have been up to and why it has taken me so long to blog but I rather just show you the two drawings in progress that I have been working on for the past few months. I will post the completed drawing as soon as I have good images of them.

LAAA: Annual Auction 2012

I forgot to mention that one of my drawings is up for auction at the Los Angeles Art Association. The money will go to keeping this wonderful association going. The auction is one night on July 28th from 7pm to 9pm. To buy the ticket or make reservation call 310.652.8272. A New Experience

Drawing at the Armory Center was fun and different. It felt very weird to be drawing while surrounded by the movements and noises of people and music. I really like the new experience and I started thinking about participating in more drawing events. Thanks to all those who came and supported me and to those who couldn't be there physically but were there in spirit. In the meantime I have been working hard on finishing drawings for several show deadlines. Here are three that are finished. Drawing at 3PM!

I will be drawing at the Armory Center for the Arts Monster Drawing Rally at 3pm. I hope I will see some of you guys there. Here is a sneak peek of some drawings that I am currently working on.

Armory Center for the Arts

If you are in Los Angeles on June 17th I hope you will stop by the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena between 12PM to 6PM. I have been invited to participate in a monster drawing rally to raise money for Outpost at Armory, a collaborative effort between the Armory Center and Outpost for Contemporary Art. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door and each drawings will sell for $75. Here is the link:

So in the meantime I have been working on drawings and basically trying to see how much I can do in an hour in preparation for the rally. Here is a sample of what I have been working on. I will post the whole drawing when it is finish.

I am finally slowly updating my blog and website. I have added a "Follow by Email" to this blog so if you added your email address you will get a notification when I add a new post to the blog. I also changed my "Followers" to be open to anyone who wants to follow my blog.

A New Post Finally!

I've been having a hard time figuring out how to restart posting on this blog. What should I say? What images should I post? Today I felt the need to "rip the band aid off" and just post something. A lot has happened since I last posted; I lost my job due to the store where I worked closing, my child is going to school full time, and a lot of other stuff that's not worth getting into. After much discussions and mild hyperventilations, my husband and I decided that I would finally start my dream of being a full-time artist. After a really rocky start things are slowly beginning to happen. I am finally creating and exploring possibilities. I will be posting more often now. I am posting an image that is hint of what I am working on now.
