Three more drawings + Good News!!!

Okay, when I posted this I forgot to mention that these three drawings have been accepted into a show call Aurora at Gallery 825. If anyone want to see them in person (and are in LA) opening night is November 20th and will be up until December 3rd. So you can get all dolled up and go see some good artwork and eat some delicious food afterward while raving about those fantastic drawings you just bought (just a little bit of shameless self-promoting here)!

A new favorite artist

Every once in a while I come across an artist whose work I just fall in love with. Dalton Ghetti's work is so incredible that I have to share it with you. Just click on his name to see his work.

I am working very slowly on some new pieces that I hope to post before long.

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

I Did Not Forget!

I really did not forget about my blog. Life got in the way. A bad cold (me), a visit to the ER/ hospital stay (hubby), a cranky camera (ours) and a busy tot (our child) but somehow I still manage to find time to work on my work. I even manage to finish three drawings which are a continuation of what I previously posted. Thank you for being patient.

Beginning

Writing is not my forte but creating art is. I probably won't be writing a lot in this new blog of mine. Lately I have been struggling to find time to create or even just thinking of ideas for new works. My goal with this blog is to post at least one new piece of art work a week (with the exceptions of those few times I go out of town since I can't really drag my computer with me on a plane). I don't really have a single medium that I work in. I have a BFA in sculpture which covers a vast range of materials and concepts. I have an MFA in fiber art which also covers a large range of materials and concepts. Lately I have been creating small drawings and that is what I am going to start this post with. I love comments and critiques so please feel free to respond to whatever I post. Thank you for joining me on this new journey.
