I really did not forget about my blog. Life got in the way. A bad cold (me), a visit to the ER/ hospital stay (hubby), a cranky camera (ours) and a busy tot (our child) but somehow I still manage to find time to work on my work. I even manage to finish three drawings which are a continuation of what I previously posted. Thank you for being patient.

Took me a while to figure out my own reaction, but now I think I've got it: the framing of #9 makes it clear that what I'm looking at are not designs on the surface of the paper, but >things< on a plane behind the paper. #9 suggests that the artist is rooted in the concrete and confirms that the things pictured in the whole series could actually exist and be handled. It makes explicit a tactile character that is only latent in the other 8 in the series. So are these studies for a crocheting (or genetic engineering) project?
